Single Hung Windows
At Ultimate Window & Doors, we offer a wide range of dual pane windows that can fit your style and budget. While the dual pane window cost is more expensive than single pane upfront, they save money over time because they’re more energy efficient.
About Single hung windows
Single Hung Windows for Your Home
There are two types of double pane windows: single hung and double hung.
The first type has one sash that operates from the bottom and is typically found on the first-story homes in common areas. Ventilation only comes from the bottom of the window. The second kind has two sashes that operate from the top and the bottom to offer ventilation at either end.
Single-hung frames are typically cheaper and more energy efficient since they have fewer moving parts. While both types are available in multiple styles, materials, and sizes, single-hung windows are generally smaller. This is an excellent option if you have an older home and need to replace the glass window. We can also provide a glass replacement for windows.
Vinyl is the most cost-effective material, while wood is more expensive but is durable and has a classic look. Fiberglass falls somewhere in the middle. All material types are very energy efficient.
All our insulated windows feature LowE 62/27 and Argon Gas filled to ensure outstanding thermal performance and energy savings for your home.
When the temperature soars, ordinary glass just can’t handle the heat and tinted glass spoils the view. Our insulated windows are the perfect solution for your home. Our windows use LowE 62/27, which has been specially formulated to reject the sun’s heat without affecting the view. Its proprietary triple silver coating lets more light while keeping more heat out, so your home stays cool and comfortable. With the insertion of Argon gas in between double pane glass and the combination of LowE 62/27, Ultimate Window and Door offers the excellent efficiency in thermal control and cost savings for your home.
What’s more LowE 62/27 provides exceptional fading protection as well. It blocks 95% of the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays (a leading cause of fading), so it will help your furniture, carpets, curtains and wood flooring stay beautiful for years to come.
